Line latest feature is Line Pay where you can easily pay any participating merchants using your mobile device by linking your credit/debit card or personal bank account to use it online or offline shopping.
Important notice: You must make and verify first your Line account before you can use this service. I’ll make a separate blog for that. This blog is designed to help A Japanese national or foreigners currently living in Japan. As of the moment, I’m not sure if it’s available in other countries but if it is please comment down below so I can update this blog and help those others who want to try the app.
Now let me walk you through on how to create and use Line Pay. First, run the Line pay from the wallet tab. Select Wallet tab from your screen.
You’ll be transferred to this page (image below) then select Line Pay. Please do note that I have been using Line Pay for quite a while now so you can see the remaining balance and the points I got in my Line Pay. What I’m showing here is how to create and link your personal bank account for starters.
Then you’ll be redirect to this page (image below) and select bank account. You’ll be redirected to Bank Account tab where you can see a numerous banks you can link to your Line Pay account. Please select the bank that you want to link. I’ll write a specific blog on how to link your Japan Post Bank account
Once you selected your desired bank, a pop-up window will appear to confirm your personal information. Complete the registration process and you’ll be redirected to main website of the bank of your choice. And there you have it, you can now use your Line Pay to any participating merchants anywhere in Japan and also for online shopping.
